Maximising Data Collection: How QR Codes Are Revolutionising R2R's Fire Door Surveys

We have recently made the decision to switch to using QR codes when carrying out our Fire door surveys. But why is this going to help our clients so much?

We feel this addition to our door surveys is going to greatly benefit our clients in their need to have a clear Gold Thread Of Information for building safety works.

What is the Golden Thread Of Information? Well it is a term widely used in our industry, and in all new legislation, it is essentially a term that relates to digital record keeping. A record keeping of all specifications, fire test evidence, certifications, maintenance and all other information required for full details and traceability of a fire door.

This will ensure that a clear trail is present to ensure so that every door and other fire is procured, installed, managed and maintained correctly and in accordance with the guidelines laid out in law.

Those responsible are better able to assess, maintain, and manage building safety when they have all the relevant information they need at their fingertips. This is why the 'Golden Thread' is so crucial to this, and this is where the QR codes come into play.

We want to make it as easy as possible for our clients when it comes to accessing The Golden Thread of Information on all the work we carry out. We will be able to give our clients access to the survey, and any work carried out on each individual door, with just a scan on their phone of the QR labels on each door.

To talk to us about this and more details on how this works and our door surveys and maintenance get in contact with us today and a member of the team will be happy to talk through this with you.
