Last month, our team at R2R Maintenance and Fire Stopping Ltd had the incredible opportunity to participate in a comprehensive training day hosted by Firefly, a leading provider of innovative fire protection solutions. This training focused on the installation of Firefly Fire Barriers, equipping our team with invaluable knowledge and practical skills to better serve our clients and communities.
The training day commenced with an immersive session on the theory behind the installation and properties of Firefly Fire Barriers. Led by experts from Firefly, our team delved into their passive fire protection products, learning about the importance of proper installation techniques and the unique features of Firefly Fire Barriers that make them highly effective in fire suppression.
After gaining a thorough understanding of the theoretical aspects, our team eagerly participated in practical sessions to help apply their newfound knowledge in real-world scenarios. Under the guidance of Firefly professionals, we honed our skills through hands-on installation exercises, ensuring that each team member was proficient in the proper installation techniques required to maximise the effectiveness of Firefly Fire Barriers. We also had the chance to learn about Firefly's new product, Firefly Roof Cavity Closer, which is a specially manufactured combination of Ablative Batt & Intumescent Graphite. This is an exciting new innovative product which provides a practical fire-stopping solution to meet the requirements of Building Regulation to close the void between roof membrane and outer tiles.
